England and Racism

Earlier i thoght that reaction to CBB was overreaction but after Lucy Buchanan episode , I think there is a strong support for racism in british society even thou they dont want to accept that.

Cricket Updates ...

Australia still seems to be fav team to win world cup. No other team at this moment is as balanced as them. Challengers can be India (if bowling and batting click same time), south africa ( I dont undertant there problem, Something is to be changed), pakistan (they can do anything for or against themself)

India vs WI
India won the first ODI, but it was far cry from convincing victory. Even after scoring 338 runs. Bowling did not click. Gangu batted well for 98.

Big Brother and Racism

That show rather the euphoria that followed was real fun to follow. I feel Jade was just a plain ignorant idot, who used some sick tricks to prove her superiority. Calling that stupidity , racism some times makes me wonder. But the furor it generated tells us that there are certain reasons.

To start with India, racism is not new. Its basically part of the life style for indians. religon, caste, region, color and creed, there are so many parameters that indians use actively to seperate each other. But there main objection was the way shilpa shetty treated by jade and the reaction from UK media had a effect. Besides that most of the protest was political gimmick. There are many foreign tourist abused by idot indians like jade using derogatory language, without any reaction from any one.

Asians in UK, also reacted wildly .... this is one thing that makes me think that there is some kind of active discrimination / racism exists in UK.

Brits also reacted to this row wildly, may be because they felt that there exists a problem that they thought they have solved long back.

Any way jade is evicted good for her. SHe must start meditating for her own good.

KBC- Dwitiya with Shahrukh Khan

Watched the first show of KBC with shahrukh khan, he was impressive, interacted well, gave a good feel to the show ...... but somehow i felt that he was trying to follow big b in every way he can. I guess he is the best bet after BIG B but he just cannt come close to BIG B.

Its fun but the basic element is missing and for that i guess everyone will miss BIG B.

Space Capsule Successfully Recovered

The Space capsule Recovery Experiment (SRE-1) launched by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C7) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota on January 10, 2007 was successfully recovered today (January 22, 2007) after being maneuvered to reenter the earth’s atmosphere and descend over Bay of Bengal about 140 km East of Sriharikota ....

Thought

"Progress has little to do with speed,
but much to do with direction"

Big Brother ! Shilpa Shetty

A lot of talk about racism now a days going on regarding the comments made by some ppl in uk reality show big brother.
i guess these statement should not me taken as racist but rather the way loosers/ Idots try to prove there superiority. But there is a real public outcry ...... may be there exists a level of racism in UK, that made brit asians to react strongly. There is a good percentage of brits condeming this episode. with both goverments making statement, I think we have a interesting time ahead.

PSLV Successfully Launches Four Satellites

In its tenth flight conducted from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, today (January 10, 2007), ISRO’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C7, successfully launched four satellites -- India’s CARTOSAT-2 and Space capsule Recovery Experiment (SRE-1), Indonesia’s LAPAN-TUBSAT and Argentina’s PEHUENSAT-1 into a 635 km high polar orbit. For the first time, a Dual Launch Adopter (DLA) was used in PSLV to accommodate two primary satellites in tandem.

IND v/s SAF – 3rd Test Match

India still have a chance to register historic series win in SA. They are playing really well. Openers have already shared a century partnership, something unthinkable for Indian openers. Team management once again showed faith in Sehwag’s abilities ( Dont know what is that). It’s reported somewhere that trio was against sacking sehwag ahead of world cup. MS Dhoni is not playing and Munaf is in with a injured hand.

I hope this year India will give some interesting performances unlike pathetic performances of last year.

Retirement Season

Langer announced his retirement plans to join the list of cricketers who have announced there retirement plans (Glenn Macgrath, Shane Warne, Martian , Lara and harmison). I guess at the end of Caribbean world cup this list will increase a few folds. It seems that a batch of international cricketers will be gone at that time. Some of them will be remembered and missed by many cricket fans. I think someone from Indian trio will retire from cricket during the same time.

I felt strange when Harmison announced his retirement from ODI's at the edge of 28/29. I really pity English cricket and there cricketers. They are selfish and unprofessional. There cricket starts with county and ends on ashes.

Thats a party .....

Nice Party
